Hey my sweet pen friends!
How was your week? Are you having a good start to your August? (:
August Monthly Spread In My Bullet Journal. Watch my Plan With Me Video here.
For today's Friday Faves, I wanted to share my bullet journal! (: As you may know, I've been bullet journaling for about 4 months now and August will mark my 5th month of bullet journaling. In such a short amount of time, I've completely fallen in love with this method of planning.
I know for many of us, including myself at the beginning, it can be extremely daunting to tackle the uncharted territories of the bullet journal when you're first starting out. There are still times where I turn to the next page to start a new spread and I draw a total blank. Bullet journaler's block can be super discouraging.
But then I'll just start scribbling on the page. Sometimes the spread turns out great. Sometimes I want to rip the page out. Sometimes I want to rip my hair out. Haha, just kidding. Sort of.
Bullet journaling, for me, is a creative process. Fundamentally, I need it to be my planner. Functional. Easy to follow. That, I believe at it's very core, is what the bullet journal system was built to be. But it has since quickly evolved into more within the stationery community and there ain't no shame in the pretty-up-your-bullet-journal game. :P
I just love flipping through the spreads I've completed and seeing how I'm evolving, not only with the goals I'm working towards, but also with how I'm growing artistically. I've had this conversation with many of you about how I just can't draw. Can't doodle. Can't. WELL, look at how far I've come since then! Here I am making stickers and having a heck of a good time! (:
I'm not saying any of this to boast. I'm simply sharing that I've had a great experience with bullet journaling so far. And if you're hesitating, then I'm here to say, just give it a go! It may or may not be the right planning method for you at this time, but I definitely believe it's worth a shot.
I'd love to hear from you! Are you an avid bullet journaler? Or are you coming from the planner girl world? Let me know in the comments below!
