Hi my sweet pen friends!

Happy Friday! (: Normally, I would have a Friday Faves post for you given that today is in fact a Friday. I've decided that for the time being I'll be taking a break on our Friday Faves series to focus on some other projects including...*drum roll please*...
#30inks30days! Woohoo! This will be my first time participating and I'm pretty jazzed. I've been wanting to start a new ink journal since I wasn't entirely committed or enthralled by the one I had tried to set up previously in my little Hobonichi Techo. This seems like the perfect opportunity for a fresh start and to really start cataloging the inks in my collection. (:

If you're unfamiliar with #30inks30days, you can get more details from Tom through his website. In a nutshell, the idea is to use a different ink every day for the next 30 days. You can share your inks on social media by using the hashtag "#30inks30days" and it's a great way to check out what other inky goodness other pen friends are enjoying!

For Day 2, I decided to share my Robert Oster Dutch Peach ink. This was technically already inked up in my Sailor Pro Gear Yukitsubaki fountain pen, but I figured this was a good opportunity to get it catalogued.

This ink was kindly gifted to me by my friend, John! (Thank you again, John!) He received an extra one when he purchased his Leonardo Momento Zero fountain pen as part of the Dutch Pen Show 2020 promotion.

Unfortunately, I don't own Robert Oster's Peach ink to compare it to, but from simply viewing the swatches of it online I can venture to say that Dutch Peach leans more orange.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with a blog post for every ink over these next 30 days, but we shall see! Are you participating in #30inks30days? What ink are you enjoying today? Let us know in the comments below!

Hi my sweet pen friends!

Hope you all had a great week! (: It's time for another Friday Faves and in today's spotlight, we're talking stickers!

Specifically, my favorite stickers at the moment are these ones from Paperustudio! If you're not familiar with Susan, she's one of my favorite YouTuber's at the moment who goes by the alias, "soosanmoo". You can check out her channel here. She's the brains behind Paperustudio and these super cute stickers that I ordered including her:

  • "Cute Asian Drinks Sticker Flakes"
  • "Morning Drink Buddies Sticker Sheet"

It was seriously so hard not adding everything from her shop to my cart, haha. I think next time I would want to order her "Hong Kong Egg Tart" sticker. Truth be told, I only recently tried an egg tart and it was pretty delightful!

Creating content on YouTube and running a sticker shop is something that Susan and I have in common, so it only forges a deeper appreciation for how adorable her stickers are!

I will most likely end up using these stickers in my bullet journal once I get over my initial phase of "Omgosh, these stickers are too cute and too precious to use!" phase. Lol. Do you ever feel that way about any of your stationery?
If you want to check out more of my favorite shops on Etsy, including ones started by many of you, you can click here. (:

Hi my sweet pen friends!

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a lovely week. (: For this week's feature, I wanted to talk about this Wax Seal Kit with Star & Moon Designs.
@devnnluu

□% works better when you use the actual wax seal beads instead of the glitter hot glue sticks I used lol □□ links & info - devnnluu.com/links

I've had this kit since Christmas (thanks Mom & Dad!), but have only recently started to play around with them more.

100% I should have just used wax seal beads specifically made to use with wax seal stamps, but I wanted to test glitter hot glue sticks a bit more to see if they were a viable alternative. I think I'll need to try some more of the colors before coming to a final conclusion, but as of now, I do believe you'll achieve better results if you use wax seal beads.

As far as the actual seal kit goes, I love it! It comes with 6 different stamp designs (2 larger, 4 smaller) and 1 wooden hilt. To change out the stamp designs, you simply screw and unscrew the stamp discs and voila! You're ready to start stamping! (:

Though it's a bit harder to see with the glitter hot glue, the stamps, in my experience, look phenomenal! I'm doing my best not to wax seal everything...many pages of my bullet journal  say otherwise haha. I also look forward to using it in my pen pal letters!
Do you enjoy wax seals? What designs do you have and enjoy most? Let us know in the comments below!

Hi my sweet pen friends!

How was your week? My week has been filled with my brother's birthday shenanigans, and of course, some pen and paper goodness! :)
@devnnluu

Happy Friday friends! A fast dry gel ink? □ IMO, not crazy fast, but still a fave! Links and more details on my blog - devnnluu.com/links ##pens ##pen

I feel like it's been a while since I've gushed about anything other writing implements aside from fountain pens, so I'm pretty stoked to share this week's Friday Fave!

The Zebra Sarasa Grand with the Sarasa Dry Black Gel Ink has been the unsung hero for a good portion of writing I do, whether it be directly in my bullet journal or for when I'm writing on any glossier surfaces.

Compared to the original Zebra Sarasa Gel Pens, the Zebra Sarasa Grand's pen body has a heavier, more "luxe" and sophisticated feel. Like the standard Zebra Sarasa Gel Pen, it has the nice spring-loaded clip, just in a metal finish. I believe the Zebra Sarasa Grand comes with a 0.7mm black gel refill, but can be easily swapped with other size-tip Sarasa refills just as I've done with the Sarasa Dry Black Gel Ink in 0.4mm. (You can check out some other easy ink refill swaps in this video - https://youtu.be/8tqsEuQXsr0)

In general, I've been a fan of the Zebra Sarasa line and have featured the Vintage colors in my Friday Faves previously which you can read here. While the Zebra Sarasa Dry Gel Pen may not be as "flashy" or "fun" as those, I still think it's been a star in my pen collection.
It still features that nice, smooth ink flow formulation, but is said to dry 85% faster which can be great if you're left-handed! As I mentioned earlier, I enjoy using this ink when I'm writing on glossier surfaces or when I use mixed mediums in my bullet journal (like when I'm collaging). In my own experience, I still have to wait for this ink to dry on glossier surfaces, but I am more confident in a smear-proof finish than I would be when using regular gel pens or my fountain pens.

Friday Faves: Better Every Day Journal

(F T C - Thank you to Inside Then Out for sending me the Better Every Day Journal! )
Hi my sweet pen friends!

Hope you're all doing well and welcome back to another Friday Faves post. (: This week's favorite is probably no stranger to you if you've watched my recent Simple Journaling Routine with Better Every Day Journal (For Goals, Positive Habits, & Mindset) video.

I was beyond elated to be able to partner up with Nya and Inside Then Out to bring you that video and giveaway. (And yes, there is still time to enter the giveaway to win (1) Better Every Day Journal for your self! You can read more about that here.)

Just to clarify, this Friday Faves blog post is not sponsored. I simply like this journal a lot and feel compelled to say that if you're looking for a simple journaling routine, then this is certainly something to consider. (:

Since I've posted my initial video about the Better Every Day Journal, I've missed 2-3 days of journaling, but this is still the most consistent I've been in a long time with my journaling routine and that is such a good feeling! I mentioned in my most recent Studio Vlog that I've been SO busy and it's been very challenging to fit in all the things that I want to do (and have to do) in a day. Thankfully, the Better Every Day Journal has made it possible for me to make time to journal in the mornings  with its daily prompts and ensuring that I start off my day on a good note. (:
I think it would be really interesting to assess my mindset from when I started this journal vs. a few months from now. Have I noticed any changes/ improvement? What qualities have I gained over the course of these prompts? Will I be able to maintain this journaling routine?

Let me know if you would like to see an update like that!
